Thank you for signing up for private lessons, we are very fortunate to walk this musical journey with you. In order to create a fun and productive learning experience, please pay attention to the following policies.
During Lesson time
Generally, we would like to ask the parents to step aside during the lesson. Parents are welcome to sit nearby to listen to the lesson; however, we have noticed that having a parent sitting right beside the student can cause distractions to the student as they will seek encouragement, approval and comfort from the parents. Sometimes the students get even more nervous when there are 2 pairs of eyes watching!
Lateness
Please be on time for each lesson. We understand there will be unforeseen circumstances, if you anticipate to be late for the lesson please contact the teacher as soon as possible. However, the teacher is only reserved for your scheduled lesson time and will not be required to spend extra minutes. The teacher will be required to wait half of the lesson time for the student to arrive, after that the lesson will be considered as no-show.
Scheduling
Vineyard Artists will email the confirmed lesson schedule to the email address you provided. Please inform Vineyard Artists as soon as possible if you have foreseen lesson dates that need to be rescheduled or skipped.
Tuition Payment
Each month’s tuition is due before the first lesson of the month. You can find the “pay for the lessons” button on the confirmation letter. If you wish to pay via Paypal, please inform Vineyard Artists to send over a Paypal invoice, or you can also Paypal to info@vyartists.com directly.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Please inform Vineyard Artists at least 48 hours before class starting time for cancellation and rescheduling.
Absence
Cancellation within 48 hours due to illness, doctor’s appointment or unforeseen circumstances can be excused and rescheduled for makeup. However, no-show or cancellation within 48 hours outside of excused absence reasons will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Holiday
There will be no class on 12/31, 1/1, labor day, Thanksgiving and Christmas (12/24 and 25).
Vineyard Artists will remain open on all other holidays. Any changes will be notified in advanced.
Refund
We are deeply sorry to see you go. Please give a month’s notice before terminating the lessons. Once the payment has been made for the month, Vineyard Artists reserves your lesson times with the teacher; therefore, we encourage you to finish all the remaining lessons. Otherwise, Vineyard Artists will only refund 50% of the remaining lessons minus a 2.9% processing fee.
